   Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino IV is a well-known Filipino public servant and businessman who is well-known for his fervent support of youth development, education, and entrepreneurship.  He has two daughters with his wife, Mary Fatima Gomez.  Bam, a cousin of former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III and nephew of the late Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr., has made a name for himself in Philippine politics and civic involvement.   

In 1999, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Engineering from Ateneo de Manila University.  Bam began his career as a TV host and a young youth leader. As the youngest leader of the National Youth Commission, he initially gained national recognition for promoting youth involvement in politics.  He later co-founded the Hapinoy Program, a social venture that assists small sari-sari store owners and micro-entrepreneurs in expanding their enterprises. 

     From 2013 to 2019, Bam Aquino served as a senator, concentrating on laws that promoted innovation, business, and education.  His historic legislation includes the Go Negosyo Act, which promotes small enterprises; the Free College Education Law, which increases access to higher education; and the Innovative Startup Act, which fosters innovation and tech entrepreneurs in the nation.  These legislation demonstrate his commitment to promoting young education and assisting individuals in obtaining entrepreneurial opportunities. 

   Even though he lost his 2019 re-election campaign, Bam is still involved in civic and political life, advocating for policies that use inclusive economic and technology advancement to reduce social gaps.  Bam Aquino is still a vital voice for empowerment and reform in the Philippines because of his extensive experience in grassroots activism and governance.
